Harley was diagnosed with bone cancer in his jaw on April 28, 2008. His health deterioted quickly. Though we had him on pain meds, he was in a lot of pain. Watching him suffer was heartbreaking. We decided to do what was best for him and on May 19, 2008, he was relieved of his suffering. I held him close to me and his daddy looked on as Dr. Ann gave him the injections.
He was a very sweet and gentle cat. He gave our family wonderful memories. He gave us a lot of love, we were blessed. I miss him all the time. When I come home, he is not there to greet me. When I go to sleep, he is not there to sleep next to my pillow. When I wake up in the morning, he is not there to make sure I get up. I miss his smell, kissing him, rubbing his belly and the unconditonal love he gave me.
I hope the pain of his absence will subside and the happy memories will take over. He loved chasing the laser light. He acted like a kitten when he played this game with daddy. Thanks for the memories Harley Barley! Forever Loved and Deeply Missed.
