JAZZ by Teresa and Michael / Mom, Dad, Nolan and all your friends and Family

Never did I anticipate his passing. Suddenly, on April 2, 2005, within 4 hours, Jazz McCammon would pass away at the Vet Hospital. He died of Hypovolemic Shock – cause unknown but thought to be a tumor.

Jazz has been ‘our cat’ throughout our marriage. Our first child. We found him from an ad in the paper. I often reminded Jazz that it was me who picked him. His Dad had picked up a calico. No way! Jazz was black and white with green eyes. He had a goatee and have of a mustache. He was incredibly easy going and so very trusting of us. His unconditional love was immense. He was there
for us during hard times.

Jazz loved people. Everyone knew him and those that disliked cats liked Jazz. He would greet you at the door and walk you to the door to say goodbye. He would hang out in a crowded room. He was always in the same room as us, slept with us, and layed on us. He offered so much love. He would often just come tearing through the house, running like it was the Kentucky Derby. I began calling him Jackie Joyner Jazz
when he would do this.

I had this stuffed animal that was Big Bird from Sesame Street. We would come home and find it by his food bowl or other areas of the house but he would never let us see him carry it. I caught him one day! Only once. I brought another kitten home one day and Jazz never played with Big Bird again. It told me he needed a companion. Her name would be Tiki (now 9 yr. Old)and she idolized Jazz.

I cannot believe the great pain I feel. He was such an important part of our family. he was so good with Nolan. I wish Nolan would have known him. I thought we would have Jazz for many more years
as he was only 12.

Jazz, we love you with all our hearts. You meant more than you know – but I think you did know. We will miss you forever. NO PET WILL EVER REPLACE YOU. We should be so fortunate to find such a companion. Thank you for your love, your warmth, and your personality.
We love you.

Forever in our Hearts,
JAZZ
