Jesse came into my life when he was just a puppy. I felt myself falling in love with him as soon as i saw him. I was not allowed to have another dog, but I begged and begged until I was allowed to keep him. He was the most gorgeous dog that I have ever seen. Him and my other dog Tonton became the best of friends, they were always running around and getting into trouble. Jesse was so smart and always looking for something to get up to. I enrolled him into doggy school and he loved it. He was the smartest one there, and he started to pass the
levels with outstanding marks.
He had just turned 3 when I found the lump on the back of his leg. I took him to the vets and they ran blood tests on him. when the results were back in they confirmed that he had lymphoma, an incurable cancer.
He went through with the chemo, but it was no good. His body would not accept it. A couple of months later, he started to go down hill. His body blew up because the fluid was not moving, and he could not breathe because of the fluid on his lungs. He had no energy, he wasn’t eating, just drinking all the time.
The night I had been dreading finally came, where the build up in his lungs started to drown him. We had to take him to the vets to get him put down. It was the hardest thing that I will ever have to do. To make a decision that is right for a loved one, but against everything that you want. I know that it was the best thing for him, he is so longer in pain, the pain that I now feel is unbearable.
I want to be able to hug and kiss him again, and to be able to breathe in his aroma. I love Jesse so much and I will never forget the happiness that he brought with him.
With Everlasting Love,
