They say it was difficult but the memories will remain.
They say I did the right thing to give you dignity.
They say it was the real sign of all my loyalty.
I wonder if they really know how much my heart aches inside.
I wonder if they understand the emptiness that abides.
I wonder if they know how I wish you were here with me.
I wonder if they understand the love between you and me.
I know I did the right thing.
I know you understand.
Please know that over the six years that we shared
I have so many memories of the wonderful things we shared.
I will always cherish those memories and
