Jocko Mugsy & Cocoa by Laura

"Jocko Mugsy

& Cocoa"

Sunlight streams through our window pane

unto a spot on the floor....

then we remember,

it's where they used to lie,

but now they are no more.

Our feet walk down a hall of carpet,

and muted echoes sound....

then we remember,

It's where their paws would joyously abound.

A voice is heard along the road,

and up beyond the hill,

then we remember it can't be theirs....

their precious voice's are still.

But We'll take that vacant spot of floor

and empty muted hall

and lay them with the absent voice

and unused dish along the wall.

We'll wrap these treasured memorials

in a blanket of our Love

and keep them for our best friend

until we meet above.
