Kaije by Leah / Mommy

Kaije was only 8 months old when he was diagnosed with feline leukemia! The vet told us his leukemia was as bad as it could get. So in the following week I tried my best to make him feel comfortable and loved. From keeping him warm to just sleeping with him. He started to not eat so I sat with him and helped him get the food down in his body. I gave him the medicine that would hopefully help him get better. Kaije’s little fragile body only got weaker.

One day when I came home from school I knew we had to put him down. I found him face down in his cat box having problems breathing and letting out these awful cries. I knew he was in pain so I took him to the vet to put him to sleep. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do! But I now know that he is in a better place and not suffering from the pain. He is up in the sky playing with other cats and kittens, laying in the bright sun, eat until he is full, chasing all the mice he can, and watching over all of me just like others lost loved ones are watching over them!

Kaije, I hope you are having the time of your life. I will never forget you and hope you will never forget me. I will see you again one day!

Kaije, I will never forget you.
There will always be a special place for you in my warm and lo
