Knots by Jan

September 10 1999

Though you were just a stray when we met you,

We will never forget you.

You enriched our lives,

With your love so alive,

And we so loved to stroke and pet you.

We called you Knots,

Because your fur was full of knots,

And we loved you lots and lots,

Even when you sat in the cupboard with the pots,

When you tore up the carpet,

Still you were our pet,

And you'll never be forgot.

When I leave this mortal coil,

I'll meet you on some other soil,

And I'll put the kettle on to boil,

And share just one more cup of tea,

My Knotty friend and me.

Goodbye Knots.

From your friends and family.
