I can remember like it was only yesterday, in 2007 when we decided to add a new member to our family and we found you in the paper. When we met you we knew then you would be a perfect fit. You were a dog who had been found on the street and clearly abused and on the first visit to the vet we found out you had heartworms. We did not think twice as your dad said, “we got her to save her and will continue to do what it takes”. Your heartworms were gone and you a new dog that had so much love for life.
For the next two years you brought nothing but sweet joy to our lives. This past month your health declined steadily. So we did all we could to make you better. Your last week was hard. You knew it was your time to go but I didn’t want to give up on you. I knew you were a fighter but you were tried and just wanted rest. I’m glad I was there with you but it was the hardest thing to let you go.
I will miss you dearly and will never forget our precious times we had together. I hope you know I will always love you and your presence can never be replaced. Your were truly the best dog a person can ever have.
