My beloved Layla Belle, side kick extraordinaire, faithful companion, great midnight snacker and home protector. You will be sorely missed. Our home is not the same without you. Your were the vibrancy and life of the house. No one bossing me around, no one giving me the sad eyes for snickerdoodles (don’t tell the Doc!), no guarding the front lawn from other four legged babies who may want to do their duty on our lawn! We will miss all those things and more. When you were brought to me as a stray of 3 weeks old I thought I was saving you and you ended up adding so much to my life. How did I get so lucky to be graced with your prescence? We will think of you every single day and those memories will make us smile, laugh and I’m sure cry. We feel so lucky the universe sent your special spirit to us to guard until your return home.
