Leo by Kat Comens / Kat

In Memory of Leo-Cat

No one ever awakened such maternal instinct in me as you did, from the moment I first held you, this tiny ball of fluff with whiskers as long as my hand and a demanding meow, forcing anyone around to listen intently
as you told your story.

You were so tiny, an orphan, too young to be weaned, so you would suck on my fingers after having that kitten formula that you loved so much. It was a difficult time in my life that you came into, having just lost a dear human friend in a tragic accident. Having you to take care of made me remember that love is like water, life giving and free flowing, taking many forms and routes,
none more sacred than any other.

You were everything to me, a friend, a therapist, and an all around beautiful, good natured animal. I can only hope I made your life as happy and fulfilled as you did mine. You taught me so much about devotion, unconditional love, and respect, and I will forever be a better person
for having you in my life.
