Our Friend Lucky
From the moment we met you
We knew you were destined to be in our lives.
You were gray and soft and cuddly
And we loved you right away.
Even though you had only three legs
You loved to run as fast as
your little furry body would allow.
You never let anything stop you.
We named you Lucky
but we were the lucky ones
To have you.
Other hamsters bite and scratch
But not our Lucky.
The most gentle sweet hamster in the world.
Sitting in your hand like a ball of fluff.
We hope you are happy and safe
where ever you have gone.
We love you.
