Miniature Schnauzer
Madison was supposed to be put down in the Fall of 1999.
She was used in a puppy mill and was no longer able to have
puppies so the owner was going to put her down.
I paid $30 for her gave her a name and a home.
I already had a dog Lady who was raised by me since she was
6 weeks old and she didn’t really care for other animals
but she took to Madison in a matter of days.
They were like night and day Madison had never been in a house
never walked on carpet never slept in a bed.
Now was her chance…and she was nervous at first but after
a few months she became a dog.
Not just a dog for breeding purposes.
She learned to play she learned to wag her little nub
she barked for joy and she became a real companion
not just a pet.
My husband and I love her with all our hearts.
She was such a joy and I’m going to miss her terribly.
She got sick all of a sudden and she had to be put down.
That is the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
I keep thinking was that right did I do everything
I could…I feel so guilty.
I wish her all the best in doggie heaven and
I can’t wait to see her again.
