Maggie by Jack and Danelle Holman / Daddy and Mommie

Maggie,

I know you knew it was your time.

You tried so bravely to go on–but you just couldn’t. I couldn’t stand to watch you suffer like Snowey, but it broke my heart to watch you try to find a comfortable place to rest–and when you spoke (which you never really did)
I knew it was the end.

I didn’t leave you when we took you to the Dr. I stroked your head, placed my hand near your nose so you would know I was there, and you drifted off to sleep. I was ok that day–but when I was asked how you were the next morning, the tears flowed like rain.

I will never forget you, Maggie. I love you so much.
