MIKKI by Roselea Miller / MUMMY

For 15 years you graced our lives.
You were a strength and a constant during so many life changing experiences.
We gave you our best in your years with us but your earlier years had already done damage to you both physically and psychologically. What trials you endured in your early years as a racehorse we will never know, however we were very aware that one of your two subsequent owners treated you with intense physical abuse.

When we first brought you home your legs were okay but two of them gradually refused to respond to treatment. With age and trust your fiery ways abated and you accepted more cuddles and grooming.

MIKKI you always appeared so large and strong. Eventually your frailty began to show. My worst fears became reality on the morning you could not rise to your feet.
