To our sugardog, Misty
The day when mommy first held you, I knew you were the one who would make my days happy. When mommy and grandma drove you home that day in March, I came up with a name for you, Misty, as it was misting light rain. Everyone in the family fell in love with you. Aunt Shirley, after seeing your beautiful face, went and got Erin.
You grew up so fast. You were so playful, remember Pound Puppy. You would sling that across Mommy’s room. You became known as “spaz”, because you were so hyper and filled with s much energy.
In 1992, you met “Daddy” and Erin became your sister. You moved with mommy and daddy from house to apartment to house, always happy to know you had lots of playing room. Mommy and Daddy finally decided to move into a home in Springfield. You and your sister were so happy to finally be “home”. You had your spot on the loveseat right next to Mommy, cuddled up in yourself like a circle.
Your last days were happy and mommy held you as you passed on to the beautiful heavens. Your face as beautiful as the first day I seen you. The love and happiness you brought to mommy, daddy, Erin, Grandma and Grandpa, and everyone who ever met you, is something that can never be replaced. Mommy and Daddy will never forget your beautiful face that Saturday morning. Before you took that last breath, you even made mommy and daddy smile one more time, by wiggling your nose. May you rest in peace and know that mommy and daddy will be there very soon. We love you and can not wait to see you again.
You are our sunshine
Our only sunshine
You make us happy
When skies are gray
You’ll never know dear how much we love you
Please don’t take our sunshine away.
