Mozart by Nicole Doran / Mommy

Words cannot fully express
The love and joy you have brought to me.
Your soulful copper eyes ever filled with kindness
Dear Mozart, your mommy, I will always be.

A little ball of fur
Looking up at me in a cardboard box
So scared, you hid behind the toilet
Wondering what was in store for you next.

Eight months old and a new life you had begun
No more pet store windows to sleep
Now a soft blanket and fluffy pillow to lay your head
How our lives would entwine for years, as one.

Never a night without you by my side
My little bundle, I’d carry you to sleep at the end of each day.
My study buddy, my one constant companion
Never judging, paws reaching, loving me
in own your special way.

Thank you for 18 glorious years
A feat quite amazing for a Persian so sweet.
You’ll be waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge
For someday, my love, once again we will meet.

I'll always love you,
Mozart
