Muggley was a gentle soul. And as I was to discover in his last days a really brave boy who had probably lived all his life with a heart problem. Quiet and dignified Muggley always wore a slightly anxious expression and seemed to age before his time. Only when he was very young did he run and play with my other cats. I always thought he was just shy when in fact he must have felt tired and weak. Sorry dear Muggley. I didn’t know.
He was also a very loving cat and never once complained or became grouchy despite the health problems he was keeping secret. And even on the last day he shared with me he never lost his powerful purr.
Seeing my precious little man suffering and feeling him slipping away from me broke my heart.
Muggley made the bad times less painful and the good times better. I miss you Muggley more than words can tell. God bless you Muggley. Rest in peace brave boy. No more pain no more suffering.
