Shih Tzu
My mom got Mykee for free when she worked at a pet shop.
He had a two grade heart murmor and she got him for free.
He grew out of that when he was 6 months old. She brought him
home for my cousin for a gift.
Her mother would not allow her to keep him and my mom was going
to get rid of him but I told her no. I didn’t want him going to strange
house so I kept him for myself. I was only 8 and I knew it was a
big responsibility but I didn’t care.
Mykee and my pug were my best friends in the whole world.
They slept with me every night and they depended on me.
It was a Sunday and the weather was oddly hot so I decided to let my
Mykee and my pug out to play while I cleaned the yard.
Mykee left the yard and was being stubborn and wouldn’t come back
in so I went in the house to get him a treat. When I came back to get
him he was gone. It was only a matter of seconds.
We looked for him for two days straight.
We finally found him on the second day. He had drowned in
a fish pond right beside my house.
I had no idea the little pond was there so I would have never thought
to look there. He was only eight and still had so much life in him.
I just wish I could tell him bye. I feel like it is all my fault.
I miss him very very much. I loved him like he was my son.
Thank you for being such a good friend.
I love you Mykee may you rest in peace.
