Dog
My husband Gary and I obtained Nikki over 16 years ago.
Gary had Bobbi which was Nikki’s mother and also
her grandmother and great grandmother.
Nikki was the end of a long line of great cattle herding dogs.
She was such a special little dog with a huge heart and lots of courage.
She traveled with us to so many county fairs though the years.
We show cattle at the fairs and she would help us teach them
to lead by following them from behind.
She was never afraid and was always there to help.
Nikii had two hind leg joint replacements in the early 90’s and
then came down with diabetes in 1993.
She never resisted the injections that I had to
give her twice a day.
She was the best and we miss her everyday.
Her oldest friend Casy that she was raised with misses her so much.
Nikki is buried on our ranch on a hill overlooking a pond
and beautiful Guadalupe Mountains next to her mother.
Her mother passed in 1998 she was 18 years old.
She was also a great cattle herding dog and
we miss her with all our hearts also.
