May 30 2001 — Still with us.
Short-hair Domestic Cat
My boyfriend and I received Oreo from my aunt when she
was about 7 weeks old. She is very very dark brown,
which you can’t really tell unless you hold her up to the light.
My boyfriend and I decided to name her Oreo
(after the dark chocolate cookie part)
Jager (as in Jagermister because he says that she is the exact
color of a shot of Jager).
When we first got her Matt was on vacation from work for the week
so they really bonded which is good because
she stays at his house.
She is the light of his life because she is the first pet that he has
had since he moved out of his parents house.
When he dropped her off at the vet’s to be spade he was nearly in
tears because he didn’t want them to hurt her.
I thought that that was so sweet and realized then that
I truly do love him very much.
When we put our Christmas tree up last month she was all over it;
playing with the ornaments (we decided to just put the soft ones on
this year so that she didn’t break the others) climbing on the first
few branches and even knocked it over a few times.
We took a whole roll of film of just her in the tree because we thought
it was so cute; and it was funny too.
She has brought us closer together having to make decisions about
how she will be raised and all.
She is our baby.
Mommy and Daddy love you
very much Oreo!!! {:
