To my main man
Miss you very much mum missed you very much too but she is now with you and my little boy. You was in the room my little boy went to heaven. You stood fast you stood by us even though you wasn’t well yourself. After your heart attack you was on tablets and everything seemed to be going ok until about a year after you became very ill we tried to nurse you but it was to no avail. In the end I had to take you to an emergency vet. He told me that your heart had enlarged so much it was going to explode and there was nothing left to do but to be kind and say goodbye. He gave you the first injection and you would not go down. I held you in my arms and kissed you and all you could do was stare at me it seemed like and eternity. In a way I was pleased I did not want to let you go. The vet said being that you was such a big dog he would have to inject you again we were too far in. I had to let him do it then you collapsed. I squeezed and held you and kissed you and told you I loved you. After a few minutes with no pain you closed them big loving eyes and you were gone. I took you from that place and buried you in my garden and planted a rose tree which still grows today. Kay never got over you going but we were blessed by your double and his name is Lou.
And yes Paddy he has all your bad habits as he is a cross Briard/Irish wolfhound. I hope mum is with you now and your not on your own and knowing you you are still playing her up.
Good bye my friend all is well.
Love dad.
