Padie by Louise / Louise

Dearest Padie,

I first noticed you when we would go to Hitchcock Park and there you would be in your kennel watching us.

After I lost my dear Sadie, I stopped one night to see you, you looked so much like Sadie that I named you Padie.

You were so neglected by your owner that I started stopping every night to visit you to give you treats and fresh water. What a sweetheart you were.

Your owner never seemed to care whether you were freezing on a cold winter night or too hot on a very warm summer day. He certainly did not deserve you.

I stopped coming by only because the owner put up a no trespassing sign and a motion-sensor light to keep me away. I hope you understood.

I still checked on you even though I didn’t stop anymore, now you are no longer there. I am not sure what happened, I only hope that if you are gone that you are with Sadie.

I loved you sweetie.
