Little Nutter Butter, I love you and miss you more than I can express. You, my little man, were my heart. You were always so happy – I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone in this world who was as full of light as you were. I saved your life twice (once when you were abandoned to die as a baby and once when I held you tight during our rollover car accident), but I couldn’t save your life in the end. Instead, I made the gut-wrenching decision to end your suffering. I thank you for your friendship, your humor, your companionship, and your constant, unending joy. My arms are so empty without you, little buddy. I will be there with you someday, and I know you know it. Don’t worry about me, even though I’m grieving you so terribly – go have fun, chew your busies, throw the stuffed chipmunks, kick someone in bed. I will be there someday. And when I am, I have no doubt you will fly into my arms, and all will be right again. I miss you, I love you, and I thank you so much for letting me love you.
Godspeed, little Nutter,
