Phoebe Rock by Vicki and John Manker

Phoebe Rock was a rescue girl that we got from a lady that was no longer to keep her due to a family situation. We had rescued her “brother”” Luca a few years before after a divorce. He came to live with us and a few years later another situation came up and Phoebe needed a home. We were happy to take her into our home. She was a beautiful fluffy white Maltese with lots of love in her heart and fit right into our home. She was happy with us and really liked our small fenced yard and to look at the pond with the gold fish. She got along fine with the other dogs in our home and when she first came our granddaughters were here during the day while their parents worked and she would let them comb her hair and put ribbons in her hair. She had a very special cubby where she liked to rest and have some quiet time. It was between the front hallway and the kitchen so she had full view of all that was happening when she was in there. She was out with the rest of the dogs most of the day but when she wanted a nap or just to have quiet she would go in there. There was a gate that she could see through to the kitchen and on the other side was a closed door.
