I read the book Cleveland Amory’s Compleat Cat and I couldn’t help but adding this tribute to his soulmate Polar Bear so that he will never be forgotten. Mr. Amory believed in animal rights and passed on to meet Polar Bear again on October 14, 1998. May they both rest in peace. Polar Bear was buried at the Fund for Animals’ Black Beauty Ranch. His copper plaque reads:
