Pooka was a 12 year old poodle in very poor health that I got from Poodle Rescue. He was the color Cafe Au Lait. He was a 7 lb toy. After he was here for awhile he became my constant shadow. I have 2 Old English Sheepdogs and 4 other poodles and he didn’t bond with them as much as with me. Wherever I walked he was right beside me. Sometimes I would get annoyed with him when I would almost trip over him now I would give everything I have to trip over him.
Finally his little heart just got where it wasn’t working well enough to give him the oxygen he needed and the Vet felt it was time to let him go. I held him in my arms while she put him to sleep with gas and then the shot so he knew I was here with him. I feel so lost without him now.
