Precious,
I did not know your real name, all I know is that when I moved to my new home you appeared very early on
to make me feel settled.
I know you had a real home as your long black hair was always in perfect condition and
your collars were replaced frequently.
You did not come to me for food, just for a daily cuddle and fuss and to stare at one of my own cats
through the patio doors.
If I was in the garden you would peep over the fence and spot me, then come racing over to say hello.
You really brightened up my day.
I missed you immediately the day you did not come. I kept looking out for you, but a family down the road moved home the same time I last saw you so I prayed that had been where you had lived and
that you had moved somewhere new.
I kept holding onto that hope until someone asked if I had seen your lifeless body a couple of weeks ago in the next road having been hit by a car. It was definitely you, Precious. It all added up and
they also knew you well.
I know you were not my baby as such but I had to do a tribute to you as you brought so much happines into my life and I wanted you to know that I am thinking about you, and that there will always be a special place
in my heart for you darling.
It’s not the same without you
I hope your passing was quick and without pain, and that you are now at peace little one.
Remembered always,
