How do I explain Romeo…He was a rescue in February 2001. He had been abandoned in a house due to a divorce and heartless people. I got a phone call from a friend who said do you want another Boxer…I said no…he said then he is going to the shelter and I said no to that.
Off I go to meet Romeo…he was scared, shaking, thin and VERY untrusting. I sat on the floor and he walked up to me and licked me from my chin to the top of my head…
I WAS SUNK.
Off we went home with my other baby boy Boomer who passed 2-01-07. They got over their difficulties quite quickly and grew to be brothers in every sense of the word. Romeo was known around the house as Peter Pan…he was a forever puppy.
Once Boomer died at age 11, Romeo got old and had a broken heart. Romeo’s favorite thing to do was to run and ride in the car. Unfortuately, mother nature decided to take away the use of his back legs. He was loosing the abilty to walk and was falling a lot. We had him for water therapy, chiropractic, and supplements after conventional treatments were no longer working…
On Saturday 9-29-07 @ 1:15 pm Romeo took his last breath. It was so sad and so peaceful…He lived up to his name Romeo…even until the end…Kisses, Kisses, Kisses. I can only pray that Peter Pan found his way to his brother Boomer and that they are together loving their new pain free life and waiting for their Daddy’s knowing they will always be a part of our lives…
Romeo is now an Angel,
