You were to be destroyed because of your color many years ago but my boy I saved you and through the years when I had so very many losses you were the wind beneath my wings. You cried when I did and didn’t eat when I was hurting and somehow you always found a way to see me through. You became the greeter of many starved and lost dogs that saw their way into our home and you protected me with your life and in return I gave you all the love that I had to give. People let me down but you never would. You have left a hole in my heart and no one can fill it. Go rest now because you deserve it all to well.
