Sam Abbey and Belle,

You were the most faithful dogs anyone could want to have.

You were always so glad to see me even if I were only gone for a short time.

I loved the way that you would sit with me as I did anything

watch tv eat at the table or stand in one place for more than a few minutes.

I miss those simple things so much.

I miss feeling you next to me as I slept in my bed.

You were my comfort and my loving protectors.

It hurts so much to not have you here.

Christmas wasn’t the same this year.

Too many memories of Christmas pasts that were happy.

I know that you are young again and happy now

but that does not take away the pain of losing you

all in three weeks of the other.

I hope that you puppies can feel my love for you wherever you are.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of you and

look at your pictures.

And Sammy as I was making up my bed the other day

I noticed a few of your hairs that were stuck

into the fibers of the blanket on my bed.

I just left them there…

It was like you were still there with me.

Please visit me in my dreams soon.

I miss you like crazy.
