Dear Samantha,
Wherever you are right now please know we
love and miss you dearly.
I only got to know you for your last 2 and 1/2 years here.
You were a special girl.
Brian got you from the pound when you were 8 months old.
He told me of the things you used to do as a puppy.
You ate a few pillows comforters etc.
The day you went exploring and ended up about 5 miles from home.
Good thing your name and address was on your tags and
a nice person called. How you really didn’t like riding in the car
always whining til you got home again.
Well after 12 years I came to be around alot.
You were so nice to welcome me to this home of yours.
And a year ago we brought Koko to live here.
As an only dog you did well excepting her too.
You and Koko were the greatest doggie wrestling buddies ever.
Then this past June we rescued Gretchen from being put down.
She was 9 and 1/2 when she came here.
You didn’t mind her too bad except when she got in your face.
After a few knock down drag out fights she learned
YOU were the leader here Sam.
The came the week before you died.
You had a bad day weren’t feeling well at all.
So dad took you to the vet.
The vet thought you had a bad reaction to the flea stuff we used
so you came home we washed it off.
You got better and for a week you were the Sam we all knew
and loved playing chase and wrestling with Koko and Gretchen.
On Oct. 26 2001 you were disoriented and couldn’t walk well.
Daddy brought you outside but you collapsed.
He carried you into the house laid you on your doggie bed
and watched out over you.
But it was time for you to leave us.
I am so glad daddy was here with you Sam you always were
daddy’s best girl :o)
I am sad that I didn’t get to say good-bye to you old girl.
Daddy had all that taken care of before I got here after work.
I will always miss you Sam your talking and tattling on the other
2 if they got into trouble.
Take care of daddy’s mom and dad at the bridge and
we’ll be there when it’s our time to go.
We love you Samantha,
Daddy and Mom…
Brian & Rose
