Samantha & Rico

We lost both of our very special babies this year.

We let our first baby Samantha cross over to the Bridge on

February 13 1999.

Samantha was 18 and we had the pleasure

of her in our life for 14 years. She was a cock-a-poo and the

best pet anyone could ever hope to have.

Letting her go was the hardest decision we ever had to make

but we could not let her suffer any longer.

We stayed with her and held her while the vet gave her the drug

and she went peacefully with us telling her how much we loved her

and would continue to love her.

We lost our second baby a 7 year old toy poodle named Rico,

on May 17,1999.

His lost totally devastated the entire family. He was such a lively

little dog. My husband always said that Rico was always on stage.

He was such a smart little dog. He could dance and he kept us

entertained all of the time.

He was so very attached to me that I could hardly leave his site.

He loved to lay on my chest and that is where he spent

most of his time. Rico went to the vet that Monday morning to

have a tooth extracted. I left him there thinking that I would go

pick him up later that afternoon and treat him really special

for a couple of days. I can not describe to you how I felt when

the call came that he had died while having the tooth pulled.

The vet said that his little heart just stopped and that they

were unable to revive him. Needless to say I blamed myself.

I thought that had I not taken him to have this done,

that he would still be with us.

I cried all day every day for over a week.

My husband and the other members of the family cried

and tried to console me but I was inconsolable.

We loved both Samantha and Rico so much,

and we miss them more than we could ever say.

We have adopted another poodle and we hope to adopt

another one next week.

I think that both Samantha and Rico are smiling at us,

knowing that all of the love that we gave them,

is now be lavished upon other animals.

We will never forget the best pets in the world.

Sadly missed by:

Mommy

Wayman Tara Lael and Shawnese.
