When to-morrow starts without me
and I am not there to see
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
all filled with tears for me
I wish so much you woul’nt cry
the way you do
while thinking of me.
I know how much you love me
as much as I love you
And each time you think of me
I know you will miss me too
But please try to understand
that an angel came and called my name
and took me by the hand
and said that my place was ready
in heaven far above
and that I would have to leave you behind.
But as I took my last breath
a tear fell from my eye
I did’nt want to die
It seemed impossible
That I was leaving you behind
I thought of all the yesterdays
I thought of all the love we shared
and all the fun we had
And I was sad
As I knew you would suffer without me.
If only we could relive yesterday
Just even for a while
I’d say good bye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.
But this could never be
For emptiness, heartache and memories
would take the place of me
And life on earth, as we knew
it would never be the same.
I have gone to a better place
Even though we shared such uncondional love, trust and loyalty
Find comfort in knowing, that if I had a choice
I never would have left you.
And as i look down from heaven above and see your heart breaking, see your sadness and tears… know i am with you always, always by your side and in your heart……
