Seth by Lisa / Xan

Seth, an adult Doberman weighing only 64 pounds, came to our shelter emaciated and nearly bald. When no one else cared, Lisa, from Room For One More Rescue, stepped forward and gave him her warmth, love and devotion. Seth blossomed into a 104 pound beauty (on the inside) but despite Lisa’s every effort — his skin condition never healed. He spent his nights in Lisa’s bed so she could prevent his never ending chewing.

Today was the hardest day Lisa has ever had as she set Seth free – from the body that always itched, the sores that wouldn’t heal, the pain that didn’t end.

I admire Lisa – she has a heart as big as her shoulders – and Seth got it all! His life with her was too short, but what he lacked in time, he had in devoted and loving care!

Seth will be missed and mourned and I know when the time is right he’ll be waiting across the bridge for his Lisa – the only person willing to fill his last few months with love.
