My Sweet little Shasta girl,
My only child,
OHHHH how I miss you,
The sparkle in your eyes and the little bounce in your step,
You brought GREAT joy to my life!
However Cancer and Time took its toll.
The day we said goodbye, I held you for a long time,
Felt your soft coat against my skin,
Knowing that It was the last time I would get to do this… on this side of Heaven.
How can I thank you and how do I say good-by,
I so Miss My little shadow.
My only hope is the promise “That when I get there… you will be there”
I look forward to our reunion!
