Simba-Dog by Kathy / Your loving

Simba came to us almost three years ago. My son had been told he was a Rottweiler. He did look like one until he started growing. He was solid black but started turning reddish brown in parts of his body. He had the most beautiful Brown eyes. You could just get lost in them.

We live in the country and not far from the school. Simba loved to go to school every morning, he would follow my son in his truck and sit by it until Mark came home. He wouldn’t let anyone get around the truck. He would bark but never bite. He loved playing with the children before classes took up. He loved weanies and would shake hands and beg for them. As I said we live in a small country town and I guess you could say he was the town dog. He would go all around the Gary Square and check things out. He would look both ways before he crossed the road.

He was just a super smart dog and I loved him so much, the whole family did, but he was my dog and he would always let me know it. He would gnaw on my arm and growl, never biting just loving me.

We have been told that he was run over but I don’t know for sure. We were told the man who hit him took him off to bury him. We don’t know, that is the sad part. If indeed he is dead I should have been the one to bury him. My family and I. In any case he is gone, and my heart is broken. Goodbye my Dear Simba-Dog I will always love you.

With all my love,
Simba-Dog
