Why is it that the things
Closest to the heart
Are the ones
Taken from us so quickly?
You were a precious gift
Given to me by God
How I long
To have you back
To hold and to hug you
To love you and kiss you
You were a playful spirit
So handsome and young
You hold a special place
In my heart forever
Why did you leave me?
I never even got the chance
To say good-bye.
