Sparky Ousley by Penney and Brittany / Your neighbors,
Glynda and Bruce

I would like to give tribute to my little next door neighbor dog, Sparky Ousley. Sparky was a big dog in a little dog body. He was not afraid at all of my own big Huskies. He had no quams about putting them in their place at the fence. I admired his spunk. Sometimes, I would watch him from our upstairs window, bobbing up and down like he was on some underground trampoline that no one could see, as he dug farther and farther down in my neighbor’s yard. Finally, you could barely see him at all.

He absolutely enjoyed every minute no matter what he was doing. He always acted the same, even after his diagnosis of heart problems. He just kept bouncing back, even after a few close episodes when my husband and I took he and his human mom to the their vet one night. We thought he was a goner, but he had other ideas. I was always so glad Penney had Sparky to be with her through tough times. When Sparky did pass, he did so peacefully, at home-so his Mom wouldn’t have to make the decision. He decided on his own. He knew finally now, his Mom would be o.k.

I believe our pets are instruments, gifts from God. I feel blessed to have known Sparky Ousley, and to know his Mom.And to witness the undeniable grace and perfect timing of God in all things.
