My heart is so heavy, tears falling from my eyes I only just met you, but now I must say goodbye.
I loved you so much my sweet old man, I’d give anything for you to live but God had another plan. As I listened to you fight for each breath, I reached over and gently touched you, my darling pet I talked to you softly, trying
to hold back the tears. The memories are only for days, we had prayed that they would be for years. I held you close, gave you one last kiss,

I stayed right there with you until the end. Dear God, thank you for letting me ease his way, but oh, how I wish this wee one could have stayed. He once had a Mommy that loved him so, now she’s calling him home and I have let him go. Go little Speedy as fast as you can, your heart Mommy is at the Bridge, waiting for her little man. I pray that when you’re safely in her arms you’ll tell her that I tried to keep you from harm. Please tell her I loved you Speedy dear, and that in my heart you’ll always be near.
