Little Squirt,
I can’t understand why you’re gone. We were told when we got you that you were vet checked and all was fine. Even though you were just a baby, we could tell how loving and sweet you were and what a wonderful pet you would be. When we got up that sad morning and found you were sick, I was shocked!!! I took you to my vet only to find out that an infection in your lungs was there all along.
Perhaps it was the fact that you were a baby with a full life still to go that has me still so upset. My vet told me that by the time the signs of sickness were there is usually to late but we would try anyway.
It didn’t work…
Now you’re gone.
I am so sorry.
I don’t know where you are now, I just hope it’s a good place. You just stared at me at the end and all I could do was hold you, tell you I’m sorry and that we love you.
I know it was a short time together but you made a permanent place in my heart.
We will never forget you Squirt, ever…
