Bear died two weeks ago, 2 months shy of her 17th birthday. I sure did love that little dog. She was the best friend I ever had and I will never forget her. At the words ” Sweet Baaaby ” she would put her paws over her eyes and peek out at me. A tiny 10 lbs, she wrestled adult Dobermans, swam to the island at M&M Point, and survived wandering onto 13th Street at rush hour, just last summer – deaf and blind. She was an excellent camper, hunter, cat chaser, popcorn catcher and traveller. The dog was magic. I will always miss her.
