Dear Tara,
This would’ve been your 15 birthday and even though you left us last year there isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t think of you. We planted a Royal Red Maple for you last year and it did wonderfully this season. We know having this living memorial will keep you close in our hearts. I wrote this poem for you in honor of your birthday.
I see you around me,
so vivid and clear.
Your paws surround me,
so loving and dear.
Our hearts were shattered
the day that you departed,
but your spirit is with us
never to be parted.
Happy Birthday our precious Tara. We miss you.
