Teddy, my precious Border Collie –
this tribute you hold
in your paws is very special.
Not just because it is from me….
but because it says something
I want you to know today and
that I want you to remember forever…….
Within the words of this tribute,
I want to say that you were
incredibly special to me.
You were “not just a dog”,
you were my best friend and
most protective companion.
You were so important to my days –
and so essential
to the smile within me.
That certain space where our lives
overlapped is the place
that brings me the most
understanding,the most peace,
the nicest memories,
and a joy that comes to my heart so constantly.
When you hold this
in your paws,
I want you to think of me
smiling softly at you,
and thinking of you…
for all that you were….
to me.
Now go chase those tennis balls
in heaven and remember
