Tigger Joe by Lisa & Tania Herndon-Madrid / Mommy & Mama

Tigger was a gift from a friend, He was so small and so cute! Tigger stole my heart from the moment I saw him. Tigger was so full of life and curiosity; he got into everything! We went every where together. He loved car rides and would sit in my arms as we drove. Tigger was truly the love of my life. He was my best friend and he was my son. Everyone that knew Tigger loved him he had a way about him
that just touched you.

We moved all over the place together, from California where he was born to Charlotte NC, and finally to Michigan. Tigger loved to dance. I could hold him and dance around with him for hours and he just purred the whole time. Tigger loved his brothers he was definitely the head of our household. “Tookie” as we nick named him made sure the other cats were kept in their place. He always broke up brawls and always made sure everyone was ok if he heard cries.

We lost Tigger very suddenly. He started to breathe funny one day in October so I made a vet appointment. The appointment was just a day away. When I came home from work my Tigger had gotten worse, so we rushed him to the vet. Tigger had to be placed on oxygen and the x-rays showed he was suffering from heart failure and there was nothing we could do. The hardest decision I have ever had to make was to put him down. Although we knew it was the right thing it was the most difficult cause I never wanted my boy to suffer.

He went very peacefully and I know I will see him again. He is so greatly missed he gave me the best 13 years. Mama misses Tigger just as much and his brothers miss him terribly. It drives me crazy to see them look for him. I look forward to the day I can dance with my Tookie again! Sleep tight baby boy, we love you and miss you sooo much!!!

Love you Son,
Tigger Joe
