Treasure by Lydia Kunzler / Mommy, Aiyana, Hannah, and Gemstone

My dearest Treasure, oh how I’ll miss your sweet little spirit. From a neglected mill dog discarded when you where “no good” to the breeders anymore, to my cherished companion, you truly lived up to your name, for a Treasure you where. Everyone loved you, you stole so many hearts!

I will never forget the moment we met – You where so perfect and beautiful! While the world may have seen you as ugly, you where always beautiful to me. I think of you in that mill, dreaming of the day you’d get a real home of your own and someone that loved you. You rescued me as much as I rescued you, oh my sweet Treasure, how my heart aches over your sudden departure from this world.

Run free my angel, and know that in my heart you will forever stay, not the ugly toothless “alien dog” others saw you as, but as the beautiful, sweet, and loving dog who gave me her heart, and had a beauty and love few could understand. Rest in peace, and watch over the many other mill dogs who have yet to be rescue. I will miss you sweet Treasure, in my heart you will always stay.

With love always,
Treasure
