Terrier – Poodle
Trixie started her life as a Christmas present.
Quickly going thru 3 homes it takes time to train new puppies
which was something these people didn’t have.
She ended up at my parents house it was or else thing.
Every night she slept with each kid all 6 of us.
She was a mother hen to everything .
She watched the kids and if they went out of the yard she’d trip
them and sit on them until an adult took over.
She played ball usually outfield helped with chores,
watched gates etc. She liked fruits and vegetables going so
far as picking her own strawberries. At night she got a candy kiss
or a sweettart heart just one or she would help herself if no
one gave her one. She tried to mother any baby from humans,
kittens even a baby squirrel. When our cat had kittens she brought
her food to the box and would trade places with the mama cat.
A child crying was something she didn’t like and would get
between them and the problem. This included their parents
we had to talk her into giving them back.
We all miss her terribly.
