Tuesday by Barb and Dennis / Mommy and daddy

Where I worked, some years ago, one of my co-workers said she was moving, and needed to find a home for her cat “Tuesday.” I said we would take her. When Donna brought her over, Tuesday was holding on to her for dear life. I felt so bad for her. She finally put her down, and Tuesday went into the bathtub to hide. Then, she ran behind the couch, where she stayed for about 2 weeks. She was a tiny little thing. So hyper. She was constantly on the run! And she stayed “timid and shy”. But she was sweet. I called her a “funny little cat”, because…well, she just did some cute and funny little things. When she thought it was “bedtime”, she would jump into our bed, between the pillows, and just “meow”, like she was saying,”come on guys…get to bed!”. She was adorable. I came home from work the other day, and she was kind of “staggering”. We took her to the hospital, and they said they would keep her overnight, and call us in the morning. When the doctor called, he said she was in kidney failure…no hope. I didn’t want her to just stay there and die. We went to get her. She spent the night in between us on the bed. A couple of times she tried to get off the bed, but would just fall, and sit there. It was so sad. She ws so weak. By morning, we knew we had to do the right thing for her. I held her on my lap, and told her I loved her. My husband took her. He said he felt sorry for the other people in the waiting room, watching him cry. Tuesday is here with us, in our hearts, always…..Good bye, you “funny little cat” We love you….

All our love
