Windy Lee Dyer by Rick and Ursula / Windy Lee Dyer

Sunny, warm summer days on the front porch, chilly winter nights next to a warm fire with all my friends around.
In my short time with you, my life was graced with your love. You looked after me. You gave me a good life.
With you, I climbed tall mountains, walked long trails in God’s peaceful splendor, sat by your campfires on moonlit nights with stars shinning bright.

Oh, we had such adventures, the three of us, on those warm sunny days in the summer of our lives.
Well, the sun is getting a little low now and
I am getting a little tired.

You know, I think I will go up the trail a ways to the big green meadow. You know the one, we always think of it as the perfect place to stop and take a short rest.

I will wait for you there, under the big cedar, next to the stream. I will wait, and when you get here we will start a new journey, one where we will have each other together forever and never part again.

Until you catch up, you will often see a glimpse of me out of the corner of your eye to
remind you I am always close by and in your heart.
I am just up the trail, I will wait……
