Miniature Schnauzer
Woody loved to go camping.
Memorial weekend 1998 we went camping up to the North Shore of Minnesota.
It was a cool weekend so we made sure Woody wore his sweater.
One evening he was getting cold so we put him in the tent.
He crawled under the sleeping bag on the air mattress and all you could
see was he little head sticking out with that cute little beard that schnauzers have.
I have a few pictures to remember that by. He also loved walking along the
shore of Lake Superior. He even met a few other schnauzers that day.
Memorial weekend 1999 we went camping to Itasca State Park.
Woody didn’t need his sweater that year.
We took a long walk to the headwaters of the Mississippi River.
It was a hot day and Woody had to stop on the path and rest and we gave him
some water to drink. Once we got to the headwaters he enjoyed walking
through the water to cool himself off. We have lots of pictures of Woody
camping and at home that we will treasure always.
He even tolerated the cats or they tolerated him. One day we came home
and found both cats and Woody lying on the couch Woody was right
in the middle of them. I also remember the morning we had a thunderstorm.
The thunder scared Woody so much he didn’t want to come out
of the closet. I had to pick him up and carry him out.
That big boom of thunder really frightened him.
He was such a wonderful dog! He always liked to follow us around
and be near us. I’m so thankful we found Woody!
His life may have been short but he will live forever in our hearts!
We miss you Woody!
We love you!
I know you are not in pain anymore and are happy and healthy.
I’m so glad Woody was a part of our lives!
We will treasure him always!
