I got Yoshi when I was 7 years old.
He was a tiny and adorable Miniature Schnauzer.
He had little legs so he couldn’t use the stairs very well.
I would hold and carry him all the time.
I remember when he fell asleep in my lap for the first
time as a pup.
He loved to chew on things and got in trouble a lot for doing so.
Yoshi quickly learned not to chew up the house.
As Yoshi got older his black fur went a greyish brown colour.
He had big brown eyes and I could always tell what he
was thinking even though he usually had a one track
mind which involved food.
Yoshi loved to go on walks. When he wanted to go outside he
would carry his leash in his mouth and bring it to someone.
He had a lot of friends who he went walking with:
Nikka Woody Solomon Jessie Mutley and Timmy who is
no longer with us as well.
Yoshi new lots of tricks he could spin around roll over sit lay down,
and throw a biscuit up in the air with his nose and catch
it with his mouth.
Yoshi passed away when he was only 8 years old.
We don’t know how but he somehow came across antifreeze
which ruined his kidneys and liver.
I remember seeing him in such poor condition at the vet
on the last day.
I sat with him hugged and kissed him and said good-bye.
I didn’t want to leave him at the vet but he
was suffering so much.
Yoshi was like a best friend to me.
He loved to spend time with me and I loved spending
time with him.
I have so many great memories about Yoshi.
I think about him every day Even though he is now gone
Yoshi will be in my heart forever.
In loving memory of Yoshi
